Board of Appeals
The Board of Appeals (a.k.a. Zoning Board of Appeals or Board of Zoning Appeals) has the duty to review and determine matters relating to: (1) variances from the provisions of Chapter 25, Floodplain Zoning and Chapter 52, Zoning Districts, of the Code of Ordinances; and (2) appeals to order, decision or determination made by the Zoning Administrator regarding the provisions of Chapter 25, Floodplain Zoning and Chapter 52, Zoning Districts, of the Code of Ordinances. The duty and function of the Board of Appeals is further prescribed in Wis. Stats. §62.23(7)(e) and Sec. 25-64 and Sec. 52-100 of the Code of Ordinances.
The Board of Appeals consists of five citizen members appointed by the Village President for staggered three year terms of office.
