Absentee Voting

Who can Vote Absentee?

Any qualified elector (U.S. citizen, 18 years of age, who has resided in the district in which he or she intends to vote for at least 28 days) who registers to vote is eligible to request an absentee ballot.

In-Person Absentee Voting

All qualified electors may vote absentee at the Windsor Municipal Building starting two weeks (14 days) prior to the Election until the Friday before the Election. Acceptable photo ID will need to be shown. Note: A ballot can only leave the Windsor Municipal Building if being mailed; you cannot take a blank ballot with you.

Request a Mailed Absentee Ballot

Absentee ballot requests must be received by the clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday before the election. You will also need to provide a copy of acceptable photo ID, if not already on file with the Clerk's office. Any requests for ballots to be mailed should allow enough time for mail transit. Absentee ballots must be received in the Clerk's Office in time for delivery to the polls on Election Day.
