New Resident Information

Welcome to the Village of Windsor! The below materials were compiled to help guide you in finding the information that you might need to get settled into your new community and explore the area.

Resources Below:

  • Contact Us: The Contact Us document can be used as a guide to setting up utilities in the area (The Water and Sewer web page provides details for setting up municipal water and sewer). It also provides area contact information for organizations and services.
  • Cornerstone Community Center: The Cornerstone Community Center is a gathering place for DeForest, Windsor and Vienna. They provide a welcoming place to meet, participate and volunteer while providing independence self-reliance and well-being for older adults and their families.
  • DeForest Area School District: Welcome to Norski Nation! If you have children in your home under the age of 5, please complete this survey. Doing so will allow the district to contact you with enrollment information and details about upcoming events as well as to accurately plan for staffing needs.
  • Recycling Centers: The Windsor Recycling Centers are a great resource for Windsor Residents. An application is required to receive a permit(s). Visit the Recycling Centers web page for more information.
  • Stay Connected: Like the Village of Windsor on Facebook and sign up for email notifications.
  • Village Newsletter: The Village has a triannual newsletter mailed to all residents in January, May and September.
  • Village of Windsor Park System Map: The growing park system offers high quality, well maintained parks and shelters for outdoor enjoyment. The Token Creek Conservancy is a hidden gem of bubbling springs along native prairie, and the DNR ponds are fully stocked. The Ponds are designated for urban fishing and only children 15 years of age and younger and certain anglers with disabilities may fish at the ponds.
  • Village of Windsor Path System Map: Enjoy the connected paths that are great for biking, running or walking.
  • Pellitteri: The Village of Windsor contracts with Pellitteri for weekly refuse and recycling curbside collection. Refer to the collection map for day of service. If your home is new construction, and you do not have your refuse and recycling carts, please contact Pellitteri, 608-257-4285, to schedule delivery of carts. Refuse/recycling fees are collected as a charge on the tax bill.
  • WindsorFest: Join the Village of Windsor for the annual event celebrating the rich history of the area while growing forward. Event occurs the last Saturday in September.
  • Wisconsin Voter Registration Application (MyVote): If your name or address has changed since last election, a new voter registration application is required to vote. MyVote is a great resource for election questions.

We hope you make this your home for years to come!
